Kids College

Kids of any age can try their hand at swinging the tools and kicking the ice. All equipment is provided and prizes are awarded to every kid who climbs.

The Ouray Ice Festival, the premiere ice climbing event in United States, brings back the Kids Climbing College for the 5th year. This free event introduces children of all ages to ice climbing. Participants will learn about ice climbing in a safe and super fun environment. This year we will expand the new kids beginner area to 9 routes. All gear is provided and awards are given to the participants. This popular event is scheduled during the 13th Annual Ouray Ice Festival, Saturday JANUARY TBD AND Sunday JANUARY TBD from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Ouray Ice Park in Ouray, CO. The Ouray Ice Park gratefully thanks Mountain Gear, Petzl, and The North Face companies for their continued support of this event.

Kids can also show their stuff by sporting a pint sized Ouray Ice Park t-shirt. A fun souvenir for autographs!  See our web store for details!
